Iboga Assisted Detox

    At Root Healing, we are one of the only Iboga Retreats offering Iboga Assisted Detox. We understand that there are quite a few Ibogaine Clinics that offer detoxes in a Rehabilitation Center type of setting which use Ibogaine (the spiritually devoid extracted main alkaloid of Iboga) and want to offer a Detox from a different perspective. Our approach is much different. Iboga is a highly effective detox tool that does require one to be monitored by a medical team to ensure safety, but that does not mean the spiritual healing aspect of the Bwiti tradition should be cast aside. All of our Iboga Assisted Detox retreats will be done with the Bwiti tradition’s spiritual aspect front and center. Much like our other retreats, this will include a fire-talk and ceremonies with a much more comprehensive counseling throughout the retreat. Detox guests will get the full Iboga Retreat experience, just with the added care and attention to the detox process. 

    The Iboga-Assisted-Detox program we follow was created by the 10th Generation Bwiti Shaman Moughenda who spent years developing it at Iboga House. His skillsets as a Shaman, that spent nearly 17 years in the West helping addicts, make him the most qualified person on the planet to develop such an important program. During this powerful life transition, it is paramount to get the help of the spirit of the medicine and that is what this program does.
